My name is Mark and I am just 22 years old. I have Cerebral Palsy and associated Epilepsy, which affects my right side.
Over a year ago my self esteem and confidence was low, especially about my physical fitness. Since joining the Mollington Gym I have put 3stone on in muscle and I am much stronger and fitter than I was.
I have 2 personal one to one training sessions each week with instructor Richie Laughton. Who has motivated, encouraged and supported me throughout the whole time. He is friendly, competent and well organized. He has provided me with nutritional advice, food supplements and helped me think carefully about what I eat and drink.
All of this has changed my life and this is due in no small part to Richie.
Having had personal training with Richie for the past two years, I cannot recommend him highly enough, it's thanks to his patience, understanding and expertise that I am now more fitter, healthier, leaner and also more confident than I have ever been. Training with Richie is a big part of my routine, and I always really look forward to his training sessions, his passion and enthusiasm for fitness has inspired me and transformed my life for the better. He is quite simply the best!!!
I looked to Chester Personal Training to help me gain weight without compromising my health and well being. Up to now, with a height of 6'2", my weight has increased from a meagre 9st 12lbs to a healthy 12st. Richie clearly displays a genuine commitment to achieving excellent results, consistently delivering training sessions which are challenging, intense and fun. Over the past year of working with him, I have noticed a vast improvement in general fitness, endurance and strength. My physique has also dramatically changed and has helped improve my self esteem and confidence. Richie is an exceptional personal trainer with a great attitude and I always look forward to my sessions with him and my training partner, Jamie.

I was 23 stone and my only exercise was Kinect sports on Xbox. I decided a change was needed but every time I joined the gym previously I would go for 1 month then think about going but find other things to do for the next 11 months of my membership because I would just lose interest because I wasn’t seeing the "quick results" I wanted and I would get bored following the same program each time I went.
I decided even though I enjoyed my take away living enough was enough and I needed to make a change, but I could not do it alone so I searched Google for a personal training and I found CPT.
I made contact with Richie and that one call changed my life.
I have now lost 7 stone, entered over 15 running races, completed the three peaks 24 hour challenge, and this year I have my first Triathlons, long distance cycle races, and my first marathon to look forward to
The PT’s of CPT gave me the tools and still continue to work with me on achieving my goals, unlike previous gyms I find each session to be different and enriching
Hi my name is Laura Lancaster, I began my Personal Training sessions with Richie in November 2011 following the birth of my daughter. I’ve always gone to the gym and done some form of exercise but I can honestly say I’ve never worked anywhere near as hard as I do during my PT sessions, having children leaves you so limited with the amount of time you have to yourself, having a Personal Trainer really does focus you on your goals and you get maximum results from your time at the gym.
Combining exercise with healthy eating by March 2012 I’d lost over 3 stone, 10” off my waist and 5” off each thigh! But better than that I have now kept the weight off for 6 months. I work out with Richie twice a week and in 10 months I’ve never done the same workout twice, sessions are varied and Richie will always push you to the limit to ensure you’re getting the best out of your time. I can’t recommend him enough, I’ve had lots of comments about my weight loss and at how toned I am and I only have Richie to thank for that. I’ve now gone back to work following my maternity leave but continue to have lunch time PT’s, which Richie is tailoring workouts round my limited schedule!
Richie’s help goes much further than the hour long PT, he’s always on hand to advise you whenever you’re in the gym and happy to help wherever he can
Hi my name is Chris Sayers and I never really enjoyed going out or going on holiday as I knew I was over weight and knew that I would have to be on at least one or two family photos!
Back in March 2009 I was in a size 20 and weighed 15 st 4.5 lbs.
But this all changed when i began to diet and I believe more crucially was in January 2010 when I joined the gym at the Mollington Banastre. I met Richie for my induction and we talked about Personal Training, which I agreed too ‘give a try’ because I was booked on a family holiday to Spain in March 2010.
I worked out with Richie three times a week for a one hour session and went to the gym once or twice more to do some further Cardio training. I recall in the beginning telling Richie ‘I can’t run’, but not deterred Richie told me to invest in some running shoes and told me that I would run!
The inches and dress sizes dropped as I got fitter! In fact I clearly recall dropping a dress size in weeks, no sooner would I buy size 14 jeans, when in four weeks later I was back buying size 12 jeans. Today, I have lost an amazing 5 st 8 lbs and I am in a size 10. I now describe myself as ‘slim and fit’ and include ‘running and going the gym’ in my hobbies!
We started working with Richie in May this year. We focus on different muscle groups every session which is great because it means that we can work on our individual targets even though we are working together. Since May Jack has lost three stone and I have lost two and a half . Jack is now working on building muscle as well as losing the weight and I am toning. Richie has also advised us both on diet and supplements for jack which has really sped up the progress. Working with Richie keeps us both focused and we are loving doing the work and seeing the results.
My name is Alex Kent and I’m 41 I have been over weight for about 20 years, at the start of this year I weighed over 16 stone and decided that it was time to change that. I joined slimming world on the 27 of January 2010 and then about 4 weeks later I heard about circuit training at my local high school so I thought I’d give it a go.
I turned up to my first class in a size XXL t-shirt and size 24/26 trousers feeling very nervous, My friend and I walked in when really we wanted to walk out but I’m very glad we didn’t because I wouldn’t have meet Richie the brilliant instructor who has helped me not only lose weight but change my body shape and my way of thinking .The support and encouragement Richie gave me has been great, he encourages you through the sessions keeping you going when things get a little hard and you think you can’t do any more. He also gave me advice on what exercises to do the day after training to help with stiffness and aches and pains.
Chris SayersLosing weight and exercising regularly has had a huge impact on my health as well, both my Mum and Brother have had a brain hemorrhage and stroke, I have been on blood pressure tablets for over 8 years and was looking at being on them for the rest of my life after losing weight I now no longer take them and my diabetes is under control my nurse is very happy as am I. Everyone in the class welcomed me from day 1 and has seen me change from a size 24/26 weighing over 16st, to a size 14 weighing 10st 6lbs my children also join in the classes they enjoy them as much as me. I was voted slimming world woman of the year for my group in Mancot and went through to the semi-final, which was a fantastic event. I am very proud of my weight loss as are my family.
We decided to join the gym at Mollington Banastre Hotel on a trial, we began our personal fitness training after a short induction on our own, we were both about to leave the gym as we thought it was not for us and seemed hard and boring.
We then got talking to Richie as we had seen him training other people who seemed to enjoy the training and asked him what he suggested, he suggested we try a personal training program with him and asked what our goals were, we said we wanted to lose weight and tone up he suggested a program we started this with Richie in early 2010 and are still training with Richie some six months later and still enjoy as much now as at the start and we have both benefitted from it. I myself [mike] have lost a further 2 stone and got all my strength and more back, I had wanted to tone up after a large weight loss this has been achieved, my wife [Elaine] wanted a small weight loss and to tone up but had a long term weak back and shoulder problem which at times caused great pain, Richie’s careful program has produced great results and no more back and shoulder pain and what strength and improvement there, and we still both enjoy training and intend to continue and we are both now fit healthy and active not couch potatoes thanks to Richie.
